Jazzman :

Thanks for All

Serge Forté controls the alchemy which heats the hearts.

The pianist, born in Tunis in 1960, has the gift to comfortably fix the listener as of the first notes of each part, with sometimes a dancing music (Mambo Blues, Canadian Market, sometimes serene (Study n°6, Biscaros) sometimes inventive (subtle arrangement of Take the "A" train of Duke Ellington).

Nothing surprising so that this generous, in addition recognized teacher, gathers many great names around such qualities.

In this recording carried out in 1997 in New York, Mino Cinelu (percussions), Jean Wellers (acoustic and electric bass) andDarren Beckett (drums) deliver opulent and incisive parts.

Cherry on the cake, a new piano duet, recorded at Davout studio in 1990 with a Michel Petrucciani at the top, finishes the cd in beauty, under good stars of exuberance, complicity and humility.
